Michael Brock returns to the Chadds Ford Gallery
with new work depicting familiar and not-so-familiar scenes of the Delaware,
Pennsylvania and Maryland region. The interplay of wildlife and landmarks,
done in oils is accomplished in an interesting and dramatic fashion. Michael
is a self-taught artist, inspired by Wyeth, Bateman, and Schmid, and influenced
greatly by local artists of the Brandywine area. His first one-man
show was at the Chadds Ford Gallery in 1980 and since then has exhibited
throughout the area in solo and group exihibitions. His work has
hung in many corporate and private collections including the White House.
